Ministry in Angola

Angola is a nation of 12 million people about twice the size of Texas on the western coast of Africa.  Dickie and her late husband Bill were missionaries there for 14 years during a civil war that ended in 2002.  Angola has a very young population with the median age being 18 years.  It has one of the highest fertility rates in the world at 6.35 children per woman compared to 2.09 in the United States and 1.06 in Singapore.

The Assemblies of God is strong and growing in Angola.  In April 2006 Galen and Dickie were privileged to attend the dedication of a tabernacle at Living Water Assembly of God in the capital city of Luanda. They financed the tabernacle in memory of Dickie's late husband Bill from funds given for Dickie's African missions work.  They also ministered in several churches and at the Assemblies of God Bible school in Luanda.
