Nepal is a small country nestled between China and India in the Himalayan Mountains. Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world at 29,035 feet (8850 meters) above sea level, is in Nepal. Ninety percent of the people are either Hindu or Buddhist, with only 1.4% being Christian. It was a privilege to teach at Nepal Theological College at the invitation of our alumnus Amar Pandey, the Academic Dean. The students were delightful, and we built relationships that will go on for years to come. On April 25, 2015, a major earthquake devastated much of Nepal. We were relieved to find out that all of our students were safe. The Assemblies of God has been growing tremendously in Nepal in the recent years. Please pray that it will continue and that Nepal will be turned to Jesus Christ!
