Galen and Dickie Hertweck live and
work at Asia Pacific Theological Seminary in Baguio City, Philippines, where
Galen teaches New Testament. During part of the year Galen teaches in Bible schools throughout
Asia and the Pacific. Dickie is very involved in the life of the campus at APTS and
serves as the liaison for the American Embassy at APTS.
ABOUT THE HERTWECKS:
Galen is a native of St. Louis, Missouri, USA, and
in June 2001 moved to Baguio City from Southern California, USA, with Dickie, his wife. Their
son John lives in California, USA, with his wife Leslie and their sons Ethan and
Gabriel and daughter Hannah. Their
daughter, Jill Taylor, lives in Arizona, USA, with her husband Ryan and their
sons Kaden and Ian and daughter Ellie. Galen graduated from Vanguard University with a B.A. in Social
Sciences and from Fuller Theological Seminary with Master of Divinity and Doctor
of Ministry degrees. He has pastored and served on church staffs in California
and Missouri and has taught courses at Vanguard University, Evangel University,
Central Bible College, the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, and at
seminaries and Bible colleges in Europe, Asia, and the Pacific.
Dickie is a native of South Carolina, USA. She graduated
with a B.A. in Social Work from Winthrop University and a Master of Religious
Education from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. She served as a
pastor's wife for ten years in North Carolina, and she ministered in Angola,
Africa, for fourteen years with her late husband. She and Galen were married in
January 2001.
